Scott Gibbings

Manager Allied Health Workforce Unit; Vice president

Alfred Health; SARRAH

As Manager of the Allied Health Workforce Unit at Bayside Health – Alfred, the majority of Scott’s days begin with muesli and a bike ride through inner Melbourne, before he gets down to business co-designing, implementing and evaluating strategic initiatives that work to optimise the engagement, growth and wellbeing of the 750+ Allied Health clinicians working across the organisation’s diverse acute, sub-acute and community services.

As the eldest son of a beef farmer and an early-childhood teacher in South-West Western Australia, Scott, who demonstrated a disappointing lack of the aptitude and grit required for life on the land, pays homage to his country roots by volunteering on the Board of Directors of Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) as Vice-President. With SARRAH, he contributes commercial nous and knowledge of the motivators of workforce recruitment and retention to support this critical organisation to provide its advocacy, capability building and connection services for rural and remote AHPs right across Australia.
