Shellie Burgess is the Agency for Clinical Innovation’s Rural Health Network Manager, based in Bathurst. A rural and remote physiotherapist by background, she has worked across communities in NSW and Queensland and completed post graduate studies in Remote Health Management. Her early career in the rural NGO sector strengthened her commitment to improving access to multidisciplinary preventative health and chronic disease management services.

Shellie is a fierce advocate for rural health equity and a strong believer in the power of relationships to drive meaningful change. She serves on the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and the advisory panel for the National Centre for Farmer Health, and is an alumna of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation and the Australian Rural Women’s Coalition. Across these roles, she champions equitable access to high quality care for all rural Australians.

Outside of work, Shellie loves exploring Australia’s far reaches with her young family—always curious and always connecting with rural communities.
